The round oil drum stool made from a zinc barrel
The oil drum stool “Tom” is a sustainable and unique upcycling product. Made from a galvanized 60 liter barrel, it has been carefully processed and provided with a robust and weatherproof PVC seat. The cutout provides enough storage space for various items and an additional shelf space allows magazines or other things to be placed. This storage area is made from former pallet wood.
The design of the oil barrel stool “Tom” is retro industrial and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. For safety, the edges of the cutout have been reinforced with a black edge protection tape – this not only provides more protection but also visually enhances the product.
The wooden surface was precisely cut and sanded and then lightly flamed – this way the structure is presented more clearly. Finally, it was refined with a coat of clear varnish. The color of the galvanized barrel is silver inside and out with a used look.
