Oil barrel hanging shelf “Jim” – exclusively here in the oildrum.shop furniture store
The basis for this keg rack comes from a used galvanized 50 liter steel barrel. In fact, zinc oil drums are very rare, it would be a shame to simply ‘varnish’ the original industrial flair of this drum furniture. Therefore, the galvanized metal round shelf was only brushed and sealed. Galvanized struts were welded in, these give the oil drum wall shelf stability and serve to hang it on the wall and support the shelf space. The wood in the shelf was sanded, flamed and matt lacquered. The black plastic edge protects the hanging shelf on both sides.
The barrel rack looks particularly good when several of them are hanging next to each other in a set and offers space for beautiful and useful things in the home, in the office, in the workshop or in the catering area / trade. This round metal shelf is also very good as a kitchen shelf or bookshelf. The oil drum furniture from ‘Tonnen Tumult’ are great eye-catchers in loft style and industrial look.

Note: Like most oil drum furniture, the “Jim” hanging shelf is an upcycled product, it is a refurbished, used metal drum. There are mini dents, traces of grinding and some light scratches with patina. This is part of the industrial look of this wall shelf and is not a reason for return.
