‘Mio’ is an upcycled 200-liter oil barrel for placement directly on the wall, because part of the barrel was cut off, the barrel body was reinforced and thus created a straight edge on the round shelf. The 3/4 barrel is quite wonderful as a storage and shelf in the reception area, at the wardrobe, even in living rooms it finds its place and brings a great industrial flair into the room. All tiered surfaces including the upper tabletop are made of restored pallet boards. Cut to size, sanded, flamed and varnished several times. The steel barrel itself is painted gray marble on the inside and matt lacquer on the outside. All cutouts are protected with an edge protector and the contours are accented in black. Holes are provided for fixed bolting to the wall. Through and through a perfect upcycling piece of furniture, available in many colors.
At this point, we would like to point out that Tonnen Tumult furniture are perfectly finished but visually imperfect! They are upcycled products, i.e., already used industrial goods that have been modified into a piece of furniture. The bins have occasional small dents under the new lacquer and the wooden boards have small nail holes. These mini-flaws are visible even after processing and are also intentional! This is retro-industrial style! In addition, the underside of the bottom fold or the feet can have slight scratches due to motion during processing, but these are not visible in use (as written, underside).
